GHG Reporting Rule Changes

Green House Gas (GHG) reporting for per-fuel total annual heat input was deferred until 2013 while the EPA determined whether the data was confidential. EPA has now determined that the data is not confidential, and the 2010 and 2011 reports must be re-submitted to include the per-fuel total annual heat input data.

You may have seen an email from the EPA concerning this issue, click here to see an example of this announcement.

All sources that submitted GHG data for 2010 and 2011 must resubmit by April 1, 2013. You can use CiSCO’s BreezeGHG program to automate this process by generating new XML files for submittal.  Contact Mike Dolan, Director of Software at (303)-790-1000 for more information on BreezeGHG.

Under the new requirements single fuel sites will need to enter the annual heat input total in the per fuel heat input total field. Multi-fuel sites will need to enter heat input totals in separate fields for each fuel in addition to the existing heat input total.
